Jeffrey Lindsey

Dr. Lindsey is the Fire Chief for Estero Fire Rescue, managing the day-to-day operations of the District. Chief Lindsey is now wearing his third hat for the fire district. He was originally hired in September of 2001 as the district's Executive Officer. In January of 2005, he moved to the position of Operations Chief. At the April 2006 Board Meeting of Estero Fire Rescue, he was unanimously chosen by the Board to be the Districts Fire Chief.

In addition to his duties as Fire Chief for Estero Fire Rescue, Dr. Jeffrey Lindsey serves as a member of the Florida EMS Advisory Council,  board member of the Florida Fire Chief's EMS council, and the National Association of EMS Educators. He is an experienced leader, educator, lecturer, and author in emergency services. He is one of the few individuals in the country with the Chief Fire Officer designation.

Chief Lindsey has his doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from USF and is completing the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) program at the National Fire Academy. Chief Lindsey has over twenty-five years of diverse experience in the emergency services industry. He is active in a number of state and national fire and EMS organizations.
