Estero Fire Rescue Statistics
In just eight years, the number of emergency calls for EFR has increased nearly four and a half times, and this trend is likely to continue. It is interesting to note that the increase in the number of responses from 2003 to 2004 is greater than the total number of responses in 1998.
The year 2006 marked the first time that EFR exceeded 3000 emergency responses and countless non-emergency incidents. The vast majority of responses are for emergency medical services (EMS), and every piece of fire apparatus carries at least one paramedic. More than half of the firefighters with EFR are paramedics, with the remainder being certified emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Totals reflect an increase of 84% since 2002 and 377% since 1998.
EFR regularly publishes data in the Annual Report, Extended Attack and other planning documents. See the home page for the most up-to-date documents.
