The Estero Fire Rescue Board of Commissioners are the only officials elected exclusively by the registered voters living in the Estero Fire District. The Board is comprised of five individuals who oversee the direction of Estero Fire Rescue and insure the proper use of tax-payer dollars for the operation of the Fire District.

The Board is tasked with hiring the Fire Chief and providing the Chief with guidance and oversight. The Board does not take part in the day-to-day operation of the Fire District or the hiring of additional employees. Those responsibilities belong to the Fire Chief.

The regular monthly meetings of the Estero Fire Rescue Board of Commissioners are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month.  The meetings are held at Estero Community Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd.
