First Aid Class

It is a terrible feeling to watch some one get seriously injured and not have a clue how to help them. Often it is someone you love who needs your immediate assistance. Most of us know to call 911, but then what?

Estero Fire Rescue provides a basic first aid course that meets the requirements of the Florida Department of Children and Family Services and is part of the American Heart Association (AHA) program.  Students learn to perform primary and secondary patient surveys, monitor vitals, patient management and the care in basic first aid for medical emergencies.  

Classes are taught on Saturdays and the student will receive a two-year First Aid card from AHA. A fee of $55 per person is required to cover the cost of the instructor, student manual and CD.
