Heartsaver CPR/AED
Heartsaver CPR AED teaches participants how to perform CPR,
and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and
effectively on adults, children and infants, as well as how to relieve
choking. Based on the latest American Heart Association
Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Heartsaver CPR/AED plus First-Aid

This course covers everything offered in our Heartsaver CPR class
in addition to first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury
emergencies, and preventing illness and injury.
BLS Provider CPR
This course trains participants to recognize life-threatening
emergencies, perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver
appropriate breaths and ventilations, and use an AED early and
effectively. This course reflects the 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR
and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and is designed for
healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to perform
CPR and basic cardiovascular life support skills in both in-hospital
and out-of-hospital settings.
Fire extinguisher training
Firefighter Visits
Our firefighters can engage and support our community through
educational events, safety demonstrations and local celebrations.
School Visits

We provide fire and life safety lessons tailored to students. We work
closely with teachers and administrators to ensure the material is
appropriate for the class, age group, and learning environment.
Fire and Life Safety Discussions
We provide educational presentations on a variety of topics

including but not limited to fall prevention, hurricane preparedness,
brush fire preparedness, smoke alarms, escape plans, and more.
Each presentation is tailored to the audience’s age, experience,
and setting to empower the community to stay safe and make
informed decisions in emergencies.
Sharps Program
We provide a safe and convenient way for residents to drop off their
used sharps at every Estero Fire Rescue station. We collect used
needles in sealed Sharps containers, as well as provide
replacement containers at no charge.
File of Life

Estero Fire Rescue provides File of Life information magnets to
residents upon request. The File of Life magnet is a tool designed
to help first responders access important medical information
quickly during an emergency. The magnet is placed on your
refrigerator and holds a form with key information such as medical
conditions, allergies, medications, emergency contacts and more.
This form can be completed for up to two people.
Equipment and Apparatus Tour
We offer hands-on tours of our fire trucks, equipment and tools at
schools, community events, and fire stations. Children will have the
opportunity to explore the truck, fire hose, medical equipment and
tools, as well as ask questions and interact with firefighters directly.
Fire Station Tours

We offer guided fire station tours by appointment only at our
stations. During the tour participants will get a behind the scenes
look at where and how firefighters live during their 24 hour shift,
firefighting equipment and apparatus, and get a better
understanding of the daily operations of a working fire station.
Parade participation
Estero Fire apparatus can participate in parade events throughout
the community if scheduled in advance to ensure availability and
safety.
Fill a Truck Toy Drive
Estero Fire Rescue fire stations serve as drop-off locations for new,
unwrapped toys during the holiday season. All donations stay local
and go to children in our community who are in need. Keep an eye
out for more information as the holidays approach and help us
make the season brighter for kids in Estero!
